Purpose
This workshop is designed for ATAA members and visitors who are already using RealTest software and wish to join a workshop group to build knowledge and share experiences.
Note: An invite will be sent to participants in the dedicated RT forum, and a discount code made available so they may join the discussion for free.
Agenda
- 8:00 – 8:05 Chris Meakin – Intro.
- 8:05 – 8:30 All – discussion on Vince and Williams (2024) ‘The Ripple Effect of Daily New Lows’.
- 8:30 – 9:00 All – discussion on Scott’s ETF-based RT code on ‘Adaptive Position Sizing’.
- 9:00 – 9:25 All – discussion on the AI-generated paper regarding whether the AU and US stock markets are Trend Following or Mean Reverting.
- 9:25 – 9:30 All – any other items; next month’s topic(s); wrap up.

Workshop Goals
- Share and discuss code they are developing.
- Share tips on features they are using in RealTest.
- Discuss optimal use of some of the RealTest features.
- Discuss more complex code snippets.
- Discuss problems they are experiencing where others may be able to assist.
- Discuss transition issues from other software such as Amibroker.
- Develop “code buddies” as appropriate.
Meeting Etiquette
- Join the meeting with audio on mute, their video (preferably) ON, and with their full name showing.
- Be prepared to speak at each meeting to ask questions or provide a reply.
- Be registered on the RealTest Forum and be reasonably familiar with it.
- We want the workshop to be highly interactive!
