6.45pm Online Presentation - The Right Method at the right Time: From Trading Systems to Bots to Trusting Yourself – David Hunt

For many traders who rely on technical analysis, the journey often begins with the quest to do it all on their own. Early on, they experiment with indicators, chart patterns, and gut-feeling decisions, risking their hard-earned capital on what they hope will be profitable trades. However, as time passes, the reality sets in: they begin to feel uncertain or lack the confidence to trust their own judgment. It's at this point that many turn to trading systems or automated bots, hoping for a solution that can bring consistency and clarity to their decision-making.

Yet, as traders gain experience, they realize that true success in the market doesn't come from blindly following algorithms or systems—it's about understanding when to apply a particular method and knowing how to adjust to your own strengths, weaknesses, and mental state. This is where the balance of money management, risk control, and psychology comes into play.

So, when is the right time to trade with a specific method? And what do you need to know about yourself before committing to a trading approach?
