Topic: “A Voice Speaks to Us from the Past”
In this presentation an unusual investor speaks to us from the years past. What is the message? As active investors and traders we need to look at all methods and perspectives so you should sharpen your pencils and be prepared to take notes.
About Keith Mundy
Keith is a private trader using medium to long term strategies. He employs Stocks, ETFs and more recently Options. He bought his first share in 1996 and although it did take a few years, he was eventually drawn into that elusive goal of finding the Magic Grail of investing. He is still looking and, in the meantime, enjoys investigating alternate strategies.
6.55 pm to 8.00 pm – GUEST SPEAKER (Online):
Zach Radge - The Chartist
Topic: “AI Realism in Trading”
Join Zach Radge for a talk that takes a step back from the data and charts to ask a harder question: what is AI good for in trading, and what does it cost the people who adopt it badly?
Combining his experience as a trader and a software engineer, Zach looks beyond the immediate hype and urgency to explore why so much AI adoption is not driven by a true need but by a fear of missing out, and why trading makes that mistake more expensive than almost anywhere else. Half history lesson, half field guide, this presentation will provide you with a clear-eyed framework for distinguishing between AI that builds you a genuine edge and AI that is just an expensive dependency waiting to fail.
About Zach Radge
Zach Radge is a professional trader, analyst, and head of trading and research at The Chartist. With a bachelor’s degree in computer and software engineering Zach incorporates real-world engineering design experience into the realm of systematic trading to design and build robust trading strategies for the US and Australian markets.
Join us for dinner after the presentations, for general discussion and networking with other members.
